#1 IMT Website Submitter
The IMT Website Submitter is a cool, free-to-use tool for quickly building a massive amount of one way backlinks to your site. The program submits your site to whois, about us type, and website statistic type sites.
Are the backlinks strong? No, but you get them on complete autopilot so what more could you really ask for?
Don’t expect your site to soar up the rankings, but the links won’t hurt and will likely increase how frequently your site is crawled by the search engine spiders. This alone will get you thousands of automatic backlinks as advertised on the site.
#2 Social Media Profiles
It’s important to snatch up all the social media profiles you can for your site and fill them in with your information. Many of them will allow a dofollow link and naturally accumulate PR due to the size of the site they are on. A few sites you don’t want to miss:

- Youtube
- Biznik
- Quora
- About.me

#3 Social Bookmarks
I don’t think anything is easier than building links with social bookmarks. The links themselves don’t carry a lot of weight on their own, but they help your content get shared. This will cause your site to have stronger social signals that the search engines will pick up and use when ranking your site.

#4 RSS Submission
RSS Submission is another very simple way to build backlinks to your website or blog. These usually aren’t powerful links on their own, but they will contribute to your rankings, drive traffic, and also increase the frequency of crawling your site gets.
Also, you have multiple RSS Feeds you can submit between your blog, facebook page, and many other sources. You can submit your feeds automatically with this free RSS submitter and find a few additional sites to submit to with this RSS feed directories list I put together.
#5 Re-purpose and Convert Your Content
Another easy way to get backlinks is to re-purpose content you have already created. If you’ve got a blog post you can convert it into many different formats for link building and traffic getting potential.
Podcast Submission
Either record your own voice or have this free software turn your article into an mp3 for you. Once you have the mp3 or audio file, you can create a free audio blog on Podbean. The main advantage of doing this is that you get an audio RSS feed from Podbean that you can then submit to audio RSS directories or podcast directories like Blubrry.
Just by creating this blog and submitting the audio feed you can get some decent backlinks and traffic. I haven’t touched my Podbean site in a while, but you can see that it has over 1,700+ visits with next to no promotion.
Video Submission
Converting a blog post into a video is a bit tougher, but it really just takes a bit of imagination. You can take one part of a post and make it a video tutorial or explanation (I did that here), or you can simply redo the article as a video.
You don’t need to film yourself or make corny jokes. You can use this free and awesome screen capture tool to make high quality videos.

Presentation Submission
…Submit it to Slideshare! Slideshare is a high authority site and while you’ll get nofollow links from them, you can still get decent traffic. I’ve put very little work into my account, but I’ve still gotten a couple hundred views on the few docs I have uploaded.
Another site that I like to submit presentations to is My Plick. It’s not as popular or authoritative as Slideshare, but you’ll still get some traffic and they even track the rankings of your uploads in Google.
Document / PDF Submission
This is the easiest way to convert your content for more traffic and backlinks. All you have to do is take your post from a Word doc or any other format and convert it into a PDF.
There are tons of free converters online that you can use, but this one is my favorite and recommendation. I like it the most because it doesn’t disrupt your formatting, it recognizes Word Document text boxes, keeps colors in tact, and also doesn’t break affiliate links.
Once you’ve got your PDF prepared you can submit it to some document directories. There are lots of directories, but two of the most popular are Scribd and DocStoc. The links within the PDFs themselves don’t get crawled by Google, but the links in Scribd are clickable which is nice for driving traffic.
Another decent directory you can use is DocShare which also has clickable in-content links. Google doesn’t see these links either, but once again it’s better for driving traffic. For even more links and traffic, you can submit your documents to this list of document directories I compiled.
One Reminder: When uploading content to document directories and remember that often times there is a transcript or plain text version included on page. This means that Google will be seeing the same content on multiple sites you submit to, so make sure you get this content indexed on your own blog first or simply submit original content to these sites.
Following these easy backlink tips should make it easy to build a large number of quality links to your website or blog.
You can try different linking patterns and increase the strength of various links you build by linking to them too with RSS submissions, social bookmarks, and other very fast and simple backlinks.

Nice one Ben! I like you idea of podcasting. I’m gonna try it now and upload it immediately on Podbean. Just one quick question about documents/pdf sudmission, will it not be a duplicate if i converted my article to pdf and upload it to scribd or docstoc?

Thanks Gary, good question as well, I could have clarified that a bit better. Take a look at the cached version of this document on DocStoc and this one on Scribd. By looking at the cached versions you can see that Google reads the content, but discards the links.
So to answer your question, it will be a duplicate version so I would advise getting the content indexed either on your site first or on a source that will pass a dofollow link. Before posting here for driving traffic.

So i was testing the IMT Website Submitter for my new website, i notice that there are some website that dont really work, some are in chinesse and some just give me a error 404. So i dont know how good this is going to do to my site…
Hey Rada, yea there are some hokey sites in there, but for the most part I think it works pretty well. I just tried it again and the success rate was good, looks like over 2,000 worked. Like I said, it’s not a magic bullet by any means, but it will get your site well crawled and pass a little bit of “juice” – especially helpful for newer sites. And hey, it takes what… 5 seconds?
Well i have a T1 connection took me just about 30-45min to be able to post to all 2522 links. How can i check out if the backlinks worked?

Nope you won’t be penalized, it will mostly just help your site get crawled. One thing about penalization from aggressive link building – the links have to get indexed! I think there is a small chance that if you ran all of the IMT links through some intense indexing program like Backlink Energizer or Linklicious then you might have a problem.

I only choose directories (whatever they’re RSS or regular ones) with at least the PR of my website and under no circumstances don’t submit in directories with Google PR 0!
Hey Laura, I don’t think it’s necessary to only submit to directories with higher PR. My site has a PR 4 on the homepage, but there are plenty of decent PR 3 directories. That being said, if I’m not automating I would pass on a PR 0 simply because it likely isn’t worth investing the time.
Re-purposing you articles and blogs are best way to get more backlinks and readers into your site. Because sometimes there are people who like to watch videos are just listen to a certain topic. Authors sometimes have to care about the way or how people like to get information for themselves. So, Thanks Ben. Be back for more.
